MISSION STATEMENT

• The Board of Fire Commissioners is created pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 14-70. The general powers of the commission are specifically set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A: 14-81and supplemented by various statutory sections N.J.S.A.40A:14, et seq. which are incorporated in the By-Laws of the Board of Fire Commissioners.

• The board is created by law and charged with providing the equipment, apparatus and related expenses to the volunteer fire companies within their jurisdiction.
